Magpie Springs is located half way between Adelaide and Victor Harbor, only five minutes' drive from the historic township of Willunga. Magpie Springs was one of the first vineyards planted in the Southern Mount Lofty Ranges. We grow all of the fruit for our wine which is influenced by the sandy loam soil, the altitude and the cooling afternoon sea breezes. The vineyard produces premium fruits of Chardonnay, Semillon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. The Gallery is reserved for fine art from visiting artists. Avril Thomas is the artist in residence. Her work is displayed in private and corporate collections nationally and internationally The grounds have naturally beautiful vistas with gums, vines and dams perfect for artistic workshops in a rustic setting. Enjoy wonderful birdlife and tranquil vistas - a place for the whole family. The grounds are also open for functions - weddings, parties, corporate gatherings.
